Omar Thomas è nato e cresciuto a New York City, NY.
Come “Transformer” si è esibito in tutta New York City e in alcuni altri posti come Atlantic City, Boston e in New Jersey.
Omar Thomas was born and raised in New York City, NY. He began learning and exceeding breakdancing in 2000 with the Vanderbilt Breakers in Brooklyn NYC. Omar then went on to become a member of the acclaimed New York City Transformerz Breakdance Crew, directed by Mark Pickett, which he have been performing with for 8 years and continuing. As a
Transformer, he have performed throughout New York City and toured to such places as Atlantic City, Boston and New Jersey.
In 2002 or 03, Omar was inspired to start Lockin’ from the movies “Breakin’” & “Breakin’ 2” and began to teach himself from “The Lockers” footages.
He continued his Lockin’ training with acclaimed locker, Shock-a-Lock, and became a member of his company ‘Lockism’.
He has also toured with Lockism to Boston, Las Vegas and Montreal, Canada. As of now Omar is learning Popping on my own and most of from others who have better experience in the dance.
In addition to performing, He still teaches Breakin’ and Lockin’ to those who are strongly into the dance, must be dedicative and of course have an open mind. (Creative minds are always welcome)
As for my visualization, I’ll make it short and simple. It’s not hard to be different. Sure you can pick up a move from here and there. From old flicks to new. But once you’re on that dance floor, I or the crowd wants to see YOU and not who you are trying to BE.
And so I will teach those who want to be free from the box of ignorance and closed mindedness. To all my funky Lockers out there, keep on dancing no matter what. Don’t think to much cause remember what it was when it first started. “It Was A DANCE”
